OVERVIEW:
Bill.com (now branded BILL) is an accounts payable and receivable automation platform for bookkeepers managing high invoice volume. It pulls bills from email, routes them through approval workflows, and syncs the data into QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or Sage Intacct.

TOP FEATURES:

Invoice Capture and OCR: Forward bills to a unique inbox and Bill.com extracts vendor, amount, and due date automatically.

Approval Workflows: Multi-level approvals with full audit trails, useful for firms managing multiple clients or larger teams.

Two-Way Accounting Sync: Native integrations with QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, and Sage Intacct, with changes flowing both directions.

THE TRADE-OFF:
Per-user pricing scales fast for firms with many seats, and the interface has gotten busier since BILL bolted on the Spend & Expense product. Solo operators with low invoice volume may not justify the cost.

PRICING:
Essentials starts at $45 per user per month. Team is $55, Corporate is $79, Enterprise is custom. Most bookkeeping firms land on Team or Corporate.

THE VERDICT:
A near-default recommendation for bookkeepers managing five or more clients with active AP. Solo operators with light AP can usually skip it.
